Best Romantic All-Inclusive for Couples in the Caribbean

This might not sound romantic, but our sense of smell is incredibly powerful.

That’s why we chose the far less touristy nation of Grenada as the most romantic island in the Caribbean—this lush and lovely island is alive with beautiful, natural fragrances that you’ll remember forever.

Grenada is known as the Spice Island, a major exporter of delicious-smelling spices like cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Grenada is equally famous for its cocoa products and rum… and we think chocolate and rum punch is incredibly romantic!

Grenada is an eco-paradise. Because it’s under the radar as a tourist destination, you can enjoy more privacy on your vacation, and that sounds pretty romantic to us.

Best All-Inclusive Resort in the Caribbean With Private Pools

We already named excellent Caribbean all-inclusive resorts with private pool sanctuaries and infinity pools. Still, we had to give honorable mentions to two all-inclusive resorts with private pools that are just extra.

Sanctuary Cap Cana, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Sanctuary Cap Cana, a Luxury Collection Adult All-Inclusive Resort

The Sanctuary Cap Cana, a Luxury Collection Adult All-Inclusive Resort, is a lavish retreat located in the Dominican Republic's exclusive Cap Cana enclave. With its all-inclusive luxury, beautiful beachfront setting, and world-class amenities, it offers adults a secluded and indulgent tropical paradise.

A $45 million renovation has reinvented Sanctuary Cap Cana as an “exclusive all-inclusive” adults-only resort in Punta Cana.

Dining areas and bars have been updated, the spa area is enhanced (treatments extra), and there’s now a state-of-the-art fitness center.

But what is most impressive about this resort is its fabulous, distinctive accommodations, like the Castle Suite with its three private indoor plunge pools

Price: The price of a Castle Suite starts at $2,384 per night, and online booking includes a 10% discount on spa services.

Sandals Royal Curacao, Santa Barbara, Curacao

SANDALS Royal Curacao: All-Inclusive near Willemstad

Sandals newest all-inclusive resort in Curaçao is where the natural romance of this intimate island comes alive.

Curacao is the largest of the ABC Islands in the Leeward Antilles, and its location in the Caribbean makes it less prone to damaging weather events like hurricanes.

Royal Curacao is one of Sandals’ newest luxury-included properties, and it has mindblowing features, including a two-level resort infinity pool.

There are eight specialty restaurants here, including three funky food trucks serving delicious local cuisine, and all dining and premium drinks are included.

Awa Seaside Butler Bungalow with Private Pool

When it comes to private pool suites in the Caribbean, Sandals Royal Curacao takes it with Seaside Bungalows featuring butler service and gigantic, private infinity pools—this couples-only resort will truly take your breath away.

Best Caribbean All-Inclusive for Amenities

Barbados has been one of the most popular Caribbean islands for decades, and it’s made some impressive lists of places to visit.

Blessed with delicious Bajan cuisine and strong local rums, Barbados is also known for safe tourist areas to shop and sight-see, fabulous beaches, horse racing, history, and plenty of nature tours to see fascinating creatures like green monkeys!

We found two (actually, three) great all-inclusive resorts in Barbados with super-special amenities for travelers like you.

O2 Beach Club & Spa All Inclusive by Ocean Hotels

O2 Beach Club & Spa

O2 Beach Club & Spa is a stylish and upscale beachfront resort in Barbados, offering a blend of modern luxury and Caribbean charm. With its serene atmosphere, well-appointed accommodations, and direct access to a pristine beach, it's an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation and tropical beauty.

Premium drinks are part of O2’s all-inclusive package, and there are “five dining experiences,” including small plates by the two swim-up pool bars, a la carte dining seaside, and a fine dining restaurant (private dinners on the beach are an additional charge).

The best amenities at O2 include one free game at the 18-hole Barbados Golf Club (minimum 4-night stay) and “master classes” in Bajan cooking, snorkeling, kayaking, and even how to blow a conk shell!

There is also a fitness center for guests, multiple whirlpools on the sun terrace, and spa treatments at an additional cost.

Best Caribbean All-Inclusive Resorts for Relaxing

As much as we love the kiddos, our idea of a relaxing all-inclusive vacation is a Caribbean resort for adults only, and the best island in the relaxing category just might be Antigua.

Antigua has one big and one small thing going for it—the island is so tiny and easy to navigate you can quickly drive your rental car around it a few times in one day.

But people don’t travel to Antigua to drive around. The big thing here is what Antigua is famous for—it has 365 beaches!

Here are our favorite all-inclusive resorts in Antigua to indulge in pure relaxation.

Galley Bay Resort and Spa

Galley Bay Resort & Spa, Antigua

Escape to paradise at Galley Bay Resort & Spa, Antigua. This secluded adults-only retreat offers a perfect blend of serenity and luxury on the pristine shores of Antigua. Immerse yourself in breathtaking natural beauty, unwind in spacious accommodations, and indulge in delectable cuisine.

Set on 56 lush and private acres that include fragrant gardens, an inland lagoon, a bird sanctuary, and a three-quarter-mile stretch of incredible beach, the adults-only Galley Bay Resort and Spa is designed to relax and recharge.

All meals, snacks, and afternoon tea are included, as well as unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at three onsite restaurants and a coffee shop.

The resort does charge a daily fee that includes onsite activities and entertainment, but with a slogan that says “Do It All, or Nothing At All,” your sheer relaxation is pretty much guaranteed.

Price: $947.72 per night for a minimum three-night stay (non-refundable rate), excluding taxes and fees.

Sandals Grande Antigua

SANDALS Grande Antigua: All-Inclusive On Dickenson Bay

Voted the “World’s Most Romantic Resort” year after year, adults-only Sandals Grande Antigua is located on Antigua’s best and most famous beach, Dickenson Bay.

Sandals understands that Antigua is the perfect island for beach bums!

But it doesn’t hurt that your relaxing vacation at adults-only Sandals Grande Antigua includes 11 gourmet restaurants, premium beverages around the stunning pool with a swim-up pool bar, and butler service on the beach.

Another option is candlelight dining under the stars. This costs more, but it sounds like a delicious blend of romance and relaxation for your couple’s vacation.

Sandals Grande Antigua Butler Elite

Check out our review of Sandals Grande Antigua!

Price: Check out a Private Pool Sanctuary Suite steps from the beach for $803 per person per night or a Grande Luxe Room with a walkout to a semi-private cottage pool with hot tub area for $282 per person per night (airport transfers included).

Best “Cheapest” All-Inclusive Caribbean Resort

It’s great to get a cheap deal on an all-inclusive vacation, but I know from experience that inexpensive is not the way to go (check out my review of barely 3-star Breezes vs. Sandals 5-star luxury).

If you do need to get away and have a budget in mind, we totally understand that!

That’s why we scoured the Caribbean and Mexico for affordable all-inclusive resorts that will hopefully exceed your expectations.

Wyndham Alltra Resorts Cancun

Wyndham Alltra Cancun

The Wyndham Alltra Cancun is a contemporary beachfront resort situated in the heart of Cancun's hotel zone. With its modern design, all-inclusive amenities, and stunning Caribbean views, it provides a vibrant and convenient vacation destination for travelers in search of a beachfront escape.

Cancun is an extremely popular vacation destination. There are good direct flights from North America, and the weather is relatively great most of the year.

The Hotel Zone in Cancun is packed with pricier mega-resorts, and if you’re looking for dining and amenities that won’t break the bank, check out family-friendly Wyndham Alltra (formerly Panama Jack Resorts), one of the most affordable all-inclusive properties in the area.

Cozumel Palace All-Inclusive Resort

Cozumel Palace All-Inclusive Resort

Cozumel Palace is an all-inclusive resort on the island of Cozumel, Mexico, known for its oceanfront location and stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. This tropical paradise offers guests luxurious accommodations, top-notch dining, and a range of water-based activities for a memorable vacation experience.

Cozumel is a beautiful part of the Mexican Caribbean and is famous for diving and snorkeling. If you’re looking for a reasonable all-inclusive with good dining and other fun things to do, consider Cozumel Palace.

Your all-inclusive package includes non-motorized watersports, an activity pool, and all-day entertainment, and the accommodations here feature 24-hour room service.
