Why Should You Choose a Sandals Resort for an Anniversary?
Sandals is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort so you don’t have to worry about budgeting during your trip, planning activities, or rowdy kids.
Here are a few more reasons why you should book an anniversary trip at a Sandals resort.
Sandals’ complimentary inclusions are amazing!
Unlimited PADI-certified scuba diving, free green fees at resorts with golf courses, premium alcohol, gourmet meals, watersports, access to the amazing swimming pools, roundtrip airport transfers, and top-of-the-line fitness centers are just a few of the complimentary inclusions that come with the cost of your stay.

Romantic Activities Galore
Guests can enjoy a wide range of romantic activities including couples massages at Red Lanes Spa, beach picnics, sunset cruises on a catamaran, candlelit dinners on the beach or in a gourmet restaurant, local tours, and vow renewals in an overwater chapel.
Did you know Sandals offers anniversary packages that include sparkling wine, tropical flowers scattered across your bed, and breakfast in your suite?
There is also the “free anniversary night” promo, which allows you to have a free night when you stay seven nights in a Club Level or Butler Elite suite.
Sandals is famous for its attention to detail and personal touches so you can be sure that the staff will do something to make you and your partner feel special on your anniversary. It could be dessert served in your room, special decorations, or even a cake.
Sandals resorts offer premium accommodations that take any trip to the next level.
For example, Sandals Negril, located in Negril, Jamaica, is home to extravagant millionaire suites that feature a private plunge pool nestled away in a romantic garden (price: from $682 per person per night).
On the other hand, Sandals Royal Caribbean is one of the three Sandals resorts with overwater bungalows and Sandals Royal Barbados has beautiful Skypool suites that come with a private infinity pool directly on the beach (price: from $857 per person per night).
Butler Elite level suites and villas come with the services of a private butler as well as other luxuries that will make your anniversary truly memorable.
However, if you are on a budget don’t worry. All-inclusive room prices vary depending on the season, resort, and room type, but many Sandals Luxury level rooms start from $250 per person per night.
Sandals offers a lot of promos to help make your perfect getaway a reality.
The “Sandals 777 deal”, also called the “7-7-7 savings”, is one of the most popular promotions. If you stay seven nights, you receive a 7 percent discount on select rooms.
The “instant credit” deal can be combined with other saving promotions which means instant credits ranging from $275-$635 are applied to the base fare. So if you stay four nights, you get $275 in instant credit, but if you stay seven nights, you receive $635 in instant credit.

Sandals Royal Curacao
Sandals newest all-inclusive resort in Curaçao is where the natural romance of this intimate island comes alive.
We’re often asked the question “Which Sandals resort is the safest?” and, after careful consideration, we selected Sandals Royal Curacao.
But, before we go into the virtues of this gorgeous resort, I want to be clear that all Sandals resorts are designed specifically with the safety and comfort of guests as a top priority. However, some of the areas in the Caribbean are more safe than others. With this in mind, we picked the “safest” Sandals resort based not only on the resort itself but the surrounding area.
So, why is Sandals Royal Curacao so safe? First, Curacao itself has a small population of just over 150,000 people and is ranked one of the safest nations in the Caribbean. You can walk freely without worry, but of course, it’s best to secure your valuables. The ocean in front of the resort is good for swimming and without rough waters.
Located in Santa Barbara, this Dutch-inspired resort is the newest addition to the Sandals resort family and offers some exciting anniversary activities. For an additional cost, you can rent a convertible Mini Cooper and drive around the island with your love.
If relaxing is more your speed, you can book a couples massage at Red Lanes Spa or take in the stunning views by the two-level infinity pool.
Don’t forget to check out the Awa Seaside Butler Bungalow, which features incredible ocean views and a private pool (price: from $1658 per person per night).
Sandals Royal Plantation
The award-winning, all-butler beach resort in Jamaica of just 74 ocean-view suites, is perfectly tucked into a magnificent coral bluff overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
Located in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, this Sandals resort has a reputation for being the best Sandals resort for older couples or couples seeking a truly peaceful setting.
“Older” is definitely an objective term so let me clarify a little. The average age of Sandals guests falls between 30 and 50 years old so Sandals Royal Plantation is often favored by couples over 40 on an anniversary trip and couples within the 30 to 40 range looking for peace.
Sandals Royal Plantation is also one of the smallest Sandals resorts and only has 74 ocean-view, all-Butler suites. This means that every couple that books a romantic getaway at Sandals Royal Plantation receives personal butler service. There is also a team of butlers that provide valet services at the beach so you can enjoy your anniversary without worrying about a thing.
Sandals Royal Plantation has five restaurants, two bars, two private beaches, two pools, and one whirlpool. Guests also receive complimentary green fees and multiple rounds at Upton Estate Golf & Country Club, PADI-certified scuba diving, gym access, and afternoon tea.
Couples can enjoy “stay at 1, play at 2” exchange privileges with Sandals Ochi, which has a more lively, social atmosphere and 16 restaurants.
Sandals South Coast
Set along a 2-mile stretch of the pristine south coast of Jamaica, this entire all-inclusive resort has been designed to embrace the coastline.
This is simply one of the most beautiful Sandals resorts with truly incredible facilities and a beautiful property design.
Located in Whitehouse, Jamaica, this resort features a 2-mile-long white sand beach that is perfect for romantic evening strolls. It is also a great place for a candlelit dinner to celebrate your anniversary.
The overwater bungalows are particularly popular for couples celebrating an anniversary (price: from $1628 per person per night). Located at the end of a wooden pier, each overwater bungalow has an expansive deck with breathtaking views of the ocean, glass floor panels in the master bedroom for viewing marine life, and a soaking tub on the balcony.
Each bungalow comes with the services of a private butler who can sprinkle rose petals on your bed or serve you sparkling wine as you watch the sunset.
Another romantic activity you can enjoy from your balcony or the beach is stargazing. Because Sandals South Coast is located far away from the urban areas, there is minimal light pollution and you can see an incredible starry tapestry at night.
Sandals South Coast has many highlights, including three beachfront pools, themed nights and other exciting entertainment options, beach parties, a world-class spa, fitness classes, and a variety of water sports.
Guests can also enjoy unlimited dining at nine restaurants and seven bars, including Latitudes, a gorgeous overwater bar that is the perfect place to watch the sunset with a cocktail.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian
Sandals Grande St. Lucian is located on Rodney Bay, known to have the calmest waters in Saint Lucia.
Located on its own peninsula in Gros-Islet, St. Lucia, this is the perfect destination for couples who want to both relax and enjoy lots of activities during their anniversary trip.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian is the best Sandals resort in St. Lucia for water sports due to the calm waters. Guests can enjoy activities such as waterskiing and wakeboarding as well as PADI-certified scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and Hobie Cats.
There are a variety of fantastic dive sites located near the resort, offering captivating corals and sea fans, shipwrecks, and abundant marine life. Check out this article about scuba diving in St. Lucia to know what to expect.
After a day exploring the underwater world, enjoy a relaxing dinner at one of the 12 restaurants or partake in a romantic candlelit dinner under the night sky with tropical flowers and gorgeous table settings.
There is a limited number of private dinner seatings available each night so make sure to reserve your dinner in advance. You can even reserve your dinner date before you arrive via the Sandals online add-on portal.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian offers complimentary “stay at 1, play at 2” exchange privileges with Sandals Regency La Toc and Sandals Halcyon Beach.
In addition, guests can enjoy complimentary green fees and multiple rounds at La Toc Golf Course and Cap Estate Golf & Country Club.
Sandals Grande Antigua
Voted the “World’s Most Romantic Resort” year after year, adults-only Sandals Grande Antigua is located on Antigua’s best and most famous beach, Dickenson Bay.
Located on the silky, soft sand of Dickenson Bay, in St. John’s, Antigua, Sandals Grande Antigua has been voted “the World’s Most Romantic Resort” and with good reason.
Picture seemingly endless white sand beaches next to the calm, aquamarine waters of the Caribbean and lush tropical gardens that are carefully maintained by the staff.
The resort itself combines European sophistication with the natural beauty of Antigua’s coastline and has the kind of tranquil ambiance that’s perfect for connecting with your partner.
Couples can choose from a variety of anniversary-approved accommodations, including private pool villas on the pristine beach, suites with panoramic views of the ocean, and romantic rondovals.
If we had to choose our favorite suite, it would be either the Caribbean Honeymoon Seaside Butler Suite (price: from $480 per person per night) or the Mediterranean One Bedroom Butler Villa with Private Pool Sanctuary (price: from $805 per person per night).
Sandals Grande Antigua is divided between two peaceful villages: “the Mediterranean Village” and “the Caribbean Beachfront Village. Both areas feature luxurious accommodations with sweeping views of the sea and tropical greenery.
Guests can enjoy international cuisines at 11 restaurants and seven bars. There are also six whirlpools and six swimming pools, including the largest pool in the eastern Caribbean.
Sandals Emerald Bay
A premier destination for lovers of all things exclusive, Sandals Emerald Bay offers a distinct enclave of refinement.
This is the best resort for couples who love golf, tennis, or scuba diving. Situated on a mile-long stretch of white sand, in Great Exuma, Bahamas, Sandals Emerald Bay is less well-known than some of the other Sandals resorts.
Sandals Emerald Bay is home to the ocean-side Emerald Bay Golf Course, which was designed by Greg Norman. This 18-hole, par 72 golf course features stunning ocean views and diverse terrain that adds excitement to the game. The strategically placed bunkers and water hazards also add an extra challenge. However, there are multiple tee options, which allow beginner players to enjoy the course.
You can also take an anniversary dive trip through the resort’s PADI-certified dive center. Amberjack Reef is a popular dive spot due to the variety of vivid corals, sea fans, and marine life. The Austin Smith Wreck is another excellent dive site that features the sunken remains of a patrol boat that has turned into an artificial reef.
The resort itself offers 11 restaurants and six bars. There are also seven whirlpools and six swimming pools, including a half-acre zero-entry pool that is the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon.
However, if you’d rather spend time in the ocean, you are in luck. The water is great for swimming and is known for its clarity and bright color.
Closer to the water’s edge than anywhere else in Negril, life can truly be what you imagine in the relaxed chic, and free-spirited Sandals Negril.
Located on the famed 7 Mile Beach in Whitehouse, Jamaica, this resort is an excellent choice for couples seeking a free-spirited, intimate atmosphere with a good variety of laidback activities and entertainment.
If you aren’t super into packing your day full to the brim and like to keep your anniversary lowkey, then this is the resort for you.
Sandals Negril describes its ambiance as a melding of “tropical luxury and barefoot elegance”, which you can see clearly in the slower pace of life and the sheer number of hammocks. In addition, the resort was designed with lots of cozy spaces to escape the crowds and features four pools and three whirlpools.
Although Sandals Negril has a “youthful” vibe, it feels a little more sophisticated and mature than Sandals Montego Bay. There are five lively bars, including the Sundowner, which is a rooftop bar that offers panoramic sunset views and delicious cocktails. Guests can also relax at the beach bar, the martini bar, and the piano bar.
Sandals Negril has live shows, beach parties, pool parties, and tons of other entertainment options, but couples particularly enjoy the live music, which ranges from Caribbean tunes to jazz and everything in between.
The swim-up suites are definitely a highlight of Sandal Negril, but the two-story, beachfront butler suites are also gorgeous. These recently renovated suites have a more contemporary design that can be found at other Sandals resorts.
Instead of emulating Dutch colonial-era architecture or Edwardian designs, these suites look like something you’d find in a high-end apartment in Miami. Each suite features two balconies (one on the first floor and one on the second), two soaking tubs, and sunset, ocean views.
