The Larimore

Dreaming of an outdoor wedding in a historic setting? The Larimore may be your dream come true! Located in St. Louis, Missouri, this 6-acre estate was built in the 1800s and has been recently restored to its natural historic state but with all the modern amenities needed for a wedding.

Family-owned and with both indoor and outdoor options for your ceremony and reception, The Larimore exudes history, class, and elegance.

You can choose to have a garden wedding under a romantic gazebo complete with arches, fountains, gorgeous gardens, and cobblestone walkways. If you are wanting a traditional ceremony, there is a wedding chapel with a vaulted roof, high beams, and pews for a classic vibe with plenty of natural light.

There is also a vintage barn on the property that has been restored with mahogany woodwork. This one-of-a-kind venue is absolutely stunning!

The Magic House

The Magic House is a part of the St. Louis Children’s Museum and has several amazing outdoor spaces for your big day! With 50,000 square feet of event space, this venue will wow your guests and bring out their inner child.

Outside there is a Victorian Pavilion with a nature play exhibit and a sculpture garden. The Whitaker Theater and Children’s Village is the spot to dine, dance, and enjoy an evening of fun.

You can add Mary’s Garden to any of the indoor venues for an outdoor space with lush gardens, 3 patios, and a wrap-around porch. The Grand Hall and the North and South Wings are also available for a mix-and-match rental.

The Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis

Looking for a modern, urban outdoor venue in the heart of downtown? The Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis is pure luxury in the city! Their rooftop terrace is the spot to tie the knot with the iconic Gateway Arch on one side and views of the Mississippi River on the other.

You can have your ceremony on the 8-story rooftop at sunset and then have your reception under the stars. If you prefer an indoor spot for your reception, The Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis has 2 venues; the Ballroom and the Mississippi Room.

The Ballroom is a total of 7,308 square feet with a 1,200 square foot terrace overlooking the river. For a smaller wedding party, you can choose the elegant 2,972-square-foot Mississippi Room for your reception.

St. Louis Carousel

Next up, is one of the most fun weddings in the state of Missouri—the St. Louis Carousel! Located in Faust Park, just west of the city, this historic carousel was originally built in 1921. There are both indoor and outdoor spaces for your wedding.

There is an outdoor patio in a park-like setting that can hold up to 350 guests. Complete with an arbor and chairs, you can choose to have both your ceremony and reception here.

There is also a 2,400-square-foot indoor Gallery Room with a large wrap-around patio. And of course, the highlight of the venue is the landmark St Louis Carousel that turned 100 years old last year!

Brookdale Farms Weddings And Events

Located outside of the city in Eureka, Missouri, Brookdale Farms is one of the most charming event spaces with amazing views, beautiful ponds, and a working farm. The venue is perfect for a rustic, shabby chic wedding. There are several gorgeous indoor and outdoor spaces for your big day!

The highlight of Brookdale Farms is the 4,000-square-foot barn. Originally used as a stable for the farm’s prize-winning horses, the barn has been completely renovated into a rustic, yet elegant space with repurposed barn wood.

There is a covered porch and the barn doors open to a large patio complete with an outdoor fireplace. There is also a separate outdoor covered pavilion and a tented space.

Another rustic yet luxurious venue is Little Piney located outside of St. Louis in Hermann wine country. This private estate can be yours for the entire weekend with onsite lodging. Set on a wooded lake, Little Piney is absolutely stunning!

Haue Valley is located south of St. Louis in Pacific, Missouri, and is a stunning venue surrounded by nature. This spectacular setting is something out of a Pinterest board with both indoor and outdoor spaces with the bride in mind!

In fact, there is a Haue Valley bridal suite that is a private 1,000-square-foot log cabin with 5 hair and makeup stations, lounge seating, and a private outdoor balcony.

The outdoor ceremony space has 2 entryways so you can decide if you want to say your vows in front of wooden doors and a beautiful stone wall or under a tree canopy after walking through the wooden doors.

The Aquila Barn

Another amazing outdoor venue located in Moscow Mills, Missouri less than an hour outside of St. Louis is The Aquila Barn. This historic property sits atop a hill at 1871 Eagle Fork Farm. With both indoor and outdoor spaces, The Aquila Barn may be the wedding day spot for you!

Imagine saying your I do’s with the beautiful Missouri sunset in the background. There is a partially covered extended patio with string lights and a fire pit. Inside, the barn has cathedral ceilings and wooden beams.

Lost Hill Lake Events

Nestled alongside the Meramec River in a 50-year-old walnut tree grove, the Lost Hill Lake Events Center is located in St. Clair, Missouri on 3.5 acres. With breathtaking views of Lost Hill Lake and lush gardens, this perfect venue is family-owned.

The Big Pavilion space measures 72′ X 45′ and has views of the river and Walnut Grove, as well as handmade wooden tables. The Small Pavilion is next door and is a space where you can set up your bar, buffet, and dessert table. A more intimate wedding ceremony is perfect at The Chapel.

This tented area has a bohemian vibe and can be used in many different ways. The Walnut Grove is the ceremony spot on the property with black walnut trees for shade, this is the ultimate outdoor wedding venue.

World’s Fair Pavilion

We saved one of the most historic and unique wedding venues for last. Constructed in 1909 with the proceeds from the 1904 World’s Fair, the World’s Fair Pavilion is amazing. This open-air space sits atop Government Hill in Forest Park.

This fairy tale spot has breathtaking views, unique architecture with arches, and of course a rich history.

The World’s Fair Pavilion has 5,500 square feet of space for your uber-large wedding, at an affordable price. The building was completely renovated in 1998 with over a million dollars raised by the park. There has been a catering area added recently with access to water and electricity.
