Richards-Hart Estate

Richards-Hart Estate is a luxurious Victorian mansion set on 3 acres in Denver’s historic Wheat Ridge neighborhood. With beautiful gardens and scenic woods, this venue is perfect for an elegant outdoor wedding. The estate was built in 1877 and has been fully renovated inside and outside.

Imagine saying your vows under a gorgeous arbor surrounded by nature. The landscaped grounds include a fountain, flower beds, unique trees, and amazing views.

You can have your reception outside if you choose, or move indoors and step back in time to a sophisticatedly decorated mansion. There are rooms for the happy couple to prepare for their big day.

The architectural style is Italianate and every detail of the estate has been remodeled to reflect the era’s gothic renaissance splendor.

Denver Botanic Gardens

Located in the heart of Denver, the Denver Botanic Gardens is the spot for an outdoor wedding. There are more than a dozen idyllic spaces to choose from for any sized wedding.

For a small intimate affair, you might want to tie the knot in the Woodland Mosaic Garden and Solarium or the Garden Gazebo.

For a mid to large-size wedding, there is the Romantic Garden full of fragrant rose bushes and 2 gazebos. Or, you can choose the Annuals Garden and Pavilion with its thousands of blooming flowers and a water feature.

One of the most unique wedding venues in Denver is The Lumber Baron Inn and Gardens. This Victorian-style mansion was built in 1890 and is located in the Potter-Highlands Neighborhood.

You and your wedding guests will feel as if you are transported back in time to this luxurious, historic property.

The Lumber Baron Inn & Gardens is nearly 10,000 square feet in total, and there are several options for both outdoor and indoor weddings. The grounds feature mature trees, fragrant flowers, and lush greenery.

Butterfly Pavilion

Another one-of-a-kind outdoor venue for an unforgettable wedding is the Butterfly Pavilion. Located a short 10 miles northwest of downtown Denver, the vibe at the Butterfly Pavilion is out of this world. Founded in 1995, this accredited, non-profit invertebrate zoo is located on an 11-acre property.

There are several outdoor and indoor spaces at the Butterfly Pavilion for both your wedding ceremony and reception. The tropical conservatory is filled with exotic flora and fauna and 1,600 free-flying butterflies.

The area is climate controlled at 80 percent humidity and temperature set between 70 and 90 degrees. There is also an amphitheater near a creek as an outdoor ceremony option.

Inside, there is a spacious ballroom that opens up to an outdoor patio overlooking a sea of flowers.

You and your wedding guests will be delighted with the interactive exhibits such as the Water’s Edge with a coral reef and marine life, as you spot frogs, hermit crabs, fish, and turtles.
