Rixey Manor is a wedding venue located in Rixeyville, Virginia, that’s as unique as you and your love story. We are proud and happy to help curate every wedding to our couple’s romantic specifications. We include coordination, and no ‘must use’ vendors list so you can make your wedding personal and relaxing.
We only offer totally private rentals, so you can feel like your guests are visiting you in your own home. Our pet-friendly property even lets you bring your pups.
Rixey offers the most spectacular views… from the top of the Blue Ridge Mountains on one side, to the bottom of Rixey Lake on the other. Our rooftop and patio spaces make for a magical setting both at sunset and at night, and the Ballroom, complete with climate control and ADA-accessible bathrooms, means that inclement weather won’t have a negative effect on your special day.
The Manor itself is the oldest house in Virginia that allows you and your guests to stay and celebrate with very few restrictions (including sparkler exits, and open flames in the custom-built Ballroom). The history of the house lends an air of vintage elegance, but what most of our couples love is the comfy atmosphere provided by big sofas, real fires, and the ability to curl up at the end of the night in the library with your favorite people.

Facilities and Capacity
With a variety of event spaces available for use, Rixey Manor has an indoor maximum capacity for up to 120 guests. For up to 250 guests, and outdoor ceremonies and celebrations, you’ll want to utilize the venue’s lake view ceremony site and patio celebration area in the shadows of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The serene water will play as an elegant backdrop as you say “I do” among those you love most. Not to mention, you’ll enjoy complete access to the venue’s 1,800-square-foot rooftop terrace, which sits just above the venue’s ballroom space, and the rest of the Manor with multiple reception rooms so everyone can find a space to make the wedding unique.

Rixey Manor provides four bedrooms on-site for your out-of-town friends and family to enjoy, and an independent cottage that can sleep 6. Each room is decorated with charm and class with vintage décor and stunning antique furniture. The spacious rooms make for a calming and open place for each and every person to relax after a weekend full of endless celebration.
