The Neon Museum is a unique marvel. Its entire mission is to preserve and celebrate the iconic neon signs that once illuminated Las Vegas. If you’re looking for an offbeat, yet fun venue, then this might be the ideal location for you!

While this isn’t the place for large weddings, it’s perfect for small, intimate gatherings. The outdoor-based sign archive makes for a colorful, otherworldly backdrop for your vows and photos.

Marigny Opera House – New Orleans, LA

The Marigny Opera House’s history is deeply intertwined with New Orleans. What we now enjoy as a performing arts center was a Catholic church over a century ago, and though the day-to-day has changed, it still retains all of its historic charm and ambiance. 

Couples can choose to exchange their vows in several indoor or outdoor spaces. The courtyard provides gorgeous exterior shots of the church and plenty of space for a wedding or reception. Inside, you can bask in the antique charm of the ballroom.

The New York City Public Library – New York, NY

Libraries aren’t just for enriching our minds, they also make great wedding venues – especially the New York City Public Library!

Though it’s technically made up of 92 locations, the main branch – the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building – is an architectural marvel and therefore, a popular wedding location.

The Beaux-Arts style building is filled with nods to Greek and Roman architecture. While there are several onsite event spaces available, the entrance, marked by a grand staircase and stone engravings and statues, is the most popular spot for weddings and engagement photos

Birchwood Manor- Whippany, NJ

Birchwood Manor is a splendid Georgian-style mansion. The surrounding property, which spans 20 acres, is equally as beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside. 

The green spaces include pastures, ponds, stone statues, gazebos, and fountains. Inside, you’ll enjoy a striking entrance, set off by a grand spiral staircase that leads to several other spaces, including their banquet suites and ballrooms.

The Yale Theater –  Oklahoma City, OK

The Yale Theater has been in operation since 1921. Back then it went by the name Capital Hill Theater. In its nearly 100-year run it’s served Oklahoma City as one of its historic, and most cherished buildings. 

Today, after a recent full-building restoration, the building is in better shape than ever, though it still retains all of its antique charms.

The outside of the theater, fitted with a classic neon sign, is a great place to take photos. You can make use of the theater’s grand ballroom for the actual ceremony and reception.

Based out of the home of the first licensed pharmacist in the U.S, the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum offers an intimate glimpse into this country’s early pharmacological industry.

While the interior of the museum, which displays medicines and potions prevalent over a century ago, may seem like an offbeat venue for a wedding, it’s perfect for couples who value history and knowledge over aesthetics.

Plus the property’s courtyard offers more traditional accommodations. Win/win.
