The rustic barn wedding venue trend is here to stay, and this working sheep farm is the ideal location for a casual-elegant outdoor ceremony! The whole property is a photo op waiting to happen, but the tree swing is our favorite.
The property features the original 1790s barn, adjoining rooms, and plenty of space under the white tent outside.
It’s perfect for a multi-event weekend wedding if you’d like to host a cocktail hour, day-after brunch, or rehearsal dinner there, too.
Built in the 1790s, the main house features five guest rooms with private baths. Two charming cottages stand nearby, each featuring a king-sized bed to accommodate your guests comfortably.

HollyHedge Estate
This 18th-century farm-turned-venue has more than 20 acres to stage your dream wedding!
From the wedding ceremony to the reception, there are so many spaces to mix and match for the complete wedding experience.
Your guests can mingle outside in the courthouse garden for cocktail hour before settling in the barn or reception hall for a plated reception. Have the most memorable (and picturesque) ceremony ever atop the knoll or next to the pond.

Durham Hill Farm
If a laid-back wedding is your jam, this two-story barn surrounded by serene pastures and gardens makes for an unforgettable setting for any milestone event! But when it comes to weddings, the place is especially magical.
We especially love the roomy bridal suite with a kitchen, plenty of space for you and your bride tribe to prepare, and a private courtyard for perfect pre-wedding photo shoots.
The price tag may seem steeper than others, but that’s because they literally include everything in the package. (Besides the pre-wedding courage tequila and the guests. You’ll have to bring those yourself.)

Fonthill Castle/Mercer Museum
For weddings without a barn, you really can’t beat Fonthill Castle! You can get hitched inside the castle or museum or choose one of the beautiful courtyards or gardens around the grounds.
Depending upon where you land, you can expect impressive architecture and fascinating museum objects open for your guests to peruse during cocktail hour.
The historic buildings sit on 70 acres, and the castle features 18 fireplaces, 44 rooms, and more than 200 windows for photo ops galore. You really do have to see it for yourself to get the scope of just how grandiose this venue is.

Northampton Valley Country Club
Located right outside of Philly, not only is this venue impressive, but the services they offer are second-to-none. If you’re looking for a beautiful banquet hall wedding venue, but also want to kick back and enjoy while a team of specialists handles pretty much everything for you, this is your spot. (And really, who doesn’t?)
The picture of classic elegance- hold your ceremony under the gazebo and have a magical chandeliered (not a word, we know) reception in one of the ballrooms where your guests can eat, drink, and tear up the dance floor.

Pennsbury Manor
One of Buck County’s most historical venues, this idyllic setting with lots of character is the perfect backdrop for newlyweds with unique tastes!
This outdoor-only charming wedding event venue is excellent for huge shindigs and offers 43 acres of gardens, stables, and green pastures with fabulous views of the Delaware River.
Fun Fact: Founded in 1683, this is the original summer estate of William Penn- founder and first governor of Pennsylvania.

Cairnwood Estate
Dreaming of a Gatsby-esque wedding? (Again, not a word, we know.) This grand gilded-age French chateau will elevate your glittering affair by at least three notches!
Indoor and outdoor options are available, including the photo-ready gorgeous gardens with the castle’s stunning architecture as your backdrop.
Not too shabby, but once you see them, you may opt for one of the five historic rooms inside the castle. Rent out the Living Room, and you’ll also have access to the Library and Fountain Garden.
This mansion wedding venue is also excellent for intimate micro-weddings.

Pen Ryn Estate
Two mansions, a covered pavilion, and 100 acres of impressive riverfront views give you plenty of cocktail hour, ceremony, and reception options at Pen Ryn Estate.
Each mansion features plenty of rooms for your guests to wander! The primary property includes a library and galleries for your guests to enjoy and a massive sunken ballroom for your reception.

Pearl S. Buck Estate
Stymied by the “choice factor?” It’s a common bridal conundrum: so many options make it difficult to decide between a rustic wedding, a contemporary elegant wedding venue, or a “that’s-it-we’re-eloping” event at the courthouse.
While we don’t recommend the third option, Pearl S. Buck Estate has you covered for the first two! Whether you choose to tie the knot in the adorable red barn or outside under the pavilion complete with outdoor furniture and fire pits, this historic wedding venue will impress.
A full-service planner and culinary team are there to cater (ha! puns) to your every need, too.

Fairmount Park Horticulture Center
If you can’t imagine having your wedding anywhere but among the best backdrop nature offers, Fairmount Park is one of the most beautiful wedding venues you’ll find in Bucks County, PA.
And it’s got the perfect spot for every wedding size, too. From an intimate gathering by the reflecting pool or one of the many gardens to a giant wedding bash in the stunning greenhouse, this place definitely boasts a “wow” factor!

Talamore Country Club
Another country club wedding venue we couldn’t resist, ballrooms in this place alone are enough to take your breath away, but their gardens are a gorgeous backdrop for any wedding as well.
Not sure what the weather’s going to do? They offer floor-to-ceiling windowed garden rooms that open to the adjacent flagstone patios and tropical gardens. These are climate-controlled spaces featuring cathedral ceilings. How perfect is that?
Guest accommodations are a hop, skip, and a jump away, and the in-house wedding coordinators are happy to help you design a memorable experience to wine and dine with your guests!

Portico-Awbury Arboretum
Ok so this one isn’t exactly in Bryn Athyn (the seat of Bucks County), but if you want to stay closer to the city, the Portico-Awbury Arboretum brings a rural country sensibility to northwest Philly!
This picture-perfect classic garden wedding venue is where fairy tale weddings are made. If you’re a boho kind of bride, you’ll have a hard time choosing to do the photo shoot in an English garden, enchanted forest, or on the charming wrap-around porch surrounding the Victorian Francis Cope mansion.
