The New York City Fire Museum tops the list of affordable wedding venues in NYC!

Featuring artifacts and photographs, the New York City Fire Museum tells the tale of the evolution of the FDNY. The space has two exhibition floors that your wedding guests can visit during your big day and the third floor is the place for your rocking reception!

This large open space is a blank canvas for whatever kind of wedding you are dreaming of. It has 12-foot ceilings, exposed brick walls, large windows, and hardwood floors. 

Bonus: When you rent the New York City Fire Museum you can save even more money by bringing your own caterer and vendors!

Sommwhere

Located in the heart of the Lower East Side, Sommwhere is the ultimate venue for creative couples on a budget.

One of the core values at Sommwhere is sustainability and their building design is eco-conscious. They tout their venue as “a calm oasis” and it is hard to believe the location is surrounded by the hustle and bustle of NYC. 

The venue is 1,200 square feet and features curved mirrored walls, arched doorways, natural wood & a concrete kitchen for a minimalist vibe.

Another out-of-the-box venue, Go Sailing NYC is a fun and affordable option for you and a select guest list. 

This Manhattan-based yacht departs from Chelsea Piers and features a luxury deck lounge, as well as an inside cabin lounge.

There are luxury 5-star amenities with beverage and catering services staffed by members of the US Coast Guard. There are also several outdoor dining options including one near the Statue of Liberty.

The parlor floor is described as “turn-of-the-century chic” and features two elegant rooms with chandeliers and marble fireplaces. This recently restored townhouse has high ceilings and a small terrace overlooking the garden area; perfect for a classy and intimate affordable wedding.

New York Marble Cemetery

Don’t be fooled by the name, the New York Marble Cemetery is actually a historic garden hidden away in lower Manhattan.

Established in 1830, the New York Marble Cemetery is an affordable, hidden gem in the heart of NYC. This gorgeous serene space evokes a park-like vibe with a half-acre lawn, shade trees, flowering gardens, and benches. 

Perfect for an intimate, romantic outdoor wedding, the venue is covered on three sides by towering stone walls with plaques of marble engraved with the names of the 19th-century vault owners.

Bonus: The venue is the oldest non-denominational cemetery in New York City and has a rich history.

The Green Building

Located in Brooklyn and dating back to 1889, the Green Building was originally used as a brass foundry. It has now been renovated into a wedding venue with indoor and outdoor spaces that ooze a hip industrial vibe.

The Courtyard is 2,400 square feet and is the ideal outdoor ceremony space or cocktail hour location.

Inside the building, there are original exposed brick walls, open-beamed ceilings with lots of greenery, and large windows to let in plenty of natural light. There is an indoor/outdoor sound system and a custom-built mobile bar.

The Dumbo Loft

Another incredible wedding venue in Brooklyn, The Dumbo Loft was built in 1891 and has been completely renovated.

Originally built as a 19th-century tobacco warehouse, The Dumbo Loft is an NYC wedding venue with a fascinating history and unique wedding photo opportunities.
