What Color Shoes To Wear With Ivory Wedding Dresses!

Have you chosen a classic ivory wedding gown to get hitched in? Congratulations! Ivory is such a romantic and delicate color and evokes a sense of timeless, vintage love.

When it comes to pairing details such as shoes, you definitely won’t be lacking in color options for accessories.

However, there are a few rules of thumb when it comes to choosing the perfect shoes that you should stick to, in order to make sure that your ivory dress shines!

Matching Ivory Shoes

Want an easy way to achieve that sophisticated and timeless wedding look? Match your ivory shoes to your dress!

Ivory shoes will add a hint of warmth and innocence to your appearance. And monochrome styles will never look bad, so here are some options for ivory shoes that we adore.

Ivory Pointy Toe Flats with Bow

Ivory Satin Pointy Toe Flats With Front Satin Bow Fall

Satin pointy toe flats with satin bow on vamp. Comfort with simplicity and perfect for fall or summer wedding, bridesmaids, flower girls, bridal parties, birthday, holiday parties, or any of your special events.

Comfort is truly key when it comes to your wedding day. No bride wants to spend one of the most special days of their life being uncomfortable and wishing they had a change of shoes!

Pointy flats are feminine and ultra comfy, meaning you won’t have to sacrifice fashion for function!

Ivory Block Heels

Bridal Shoes Chunky Heels

A comfortable combination of elegance and height that you can use on your wedding day, private parties and will make you look precious.

Do you still want that lift and loft from heels but are nervous about standing in stilettos for hours on end? Opt for block heels instead (or chunky heels in general) that will spread the stress around on your feet, making the long day tolerable.

Pearl and Ivory Heels

Ivory Crochet Lace Pointy Toe Heels With Small Pearl Applique

Vintage inspired pointed toe crochet lace with added pearls applique. The luminous pearls makes this a classic and elegant heel for brides, bridesmaids, mother of the bride, formal wear, prom shoes, and any special occasions.

Go all in for your vintage wedding with these beautifully detailed ivory heels that are festooned with pearls. At a height of 3″, you get a little bit of height without feeling like you’re going to snap an ankle.

I love the delicate lace detailing and adorable bow on the back of the ankle strap. These shoes are for the ultra-femme!

Natural Neutrals

What is “nude” exactly? And is it any different than “neutral?”

Long story short, when it comes to shoe shopping, you’ll want to look for something that simply gets close to your skin tone! It doesn’t have to be a complete match- just a neutral shoe.

A skin-toned shoe will highlight your ivory wedding dress because it won’t draw too much attention away from the gown’s shine. You could even go for a shoe that is in the range of earth tones, such as browns, creams, beiges, and greys (believe it or not).

Nude shoes will elongate your legs visually, and who doesn’t want that?

Cream Block Heels with Translucent Pearl Design

Wedding Dress Shoes Thick Heeled Pearl Embroidered

A comfortable combination of elegance and height that you can use on your wedding day, private parties and will make you look precious.

You can’t go wrong with a little bit of translucence to bring out your natural skin tone! Delicate pearls add a touch of romance to these reliable wedding block heels.

Dark Ruby Velvet Bridal Heels

The Passion Ruby red velvet shoes are wildly romantic and add a dramatic pop of colour for surprise under your gown!

I love the rich, ruby tones of these velvety bridal shoes. These shoes will add a gorgeous, delicate texture to your overall look.

These strappy beauties would be perfect for a beach wedding or a bohemian wedding bash! These shoes wouldn’t be too distracting due to their understated look, highlighting your gown in all of its glory.

Bold & Bright

Wanna go big with your wedding look? Pop some bold, splashy colors on your feet- they’ll bring a bit of drama to your wedding day vibes, prompting many “oohs” and “ahhs”!

Curious if neon could work with your ivory dress? I mean, do what you want – but to make sure your shoe color doesn’t totally detract from your wedding gown, stick to jewel tones like rich violet, burgundy, or even royal blue.

Floral Open Toe Pumps

Women's Lexii Floral Open Toe Pump Heel Sandals

These low heel sandals come with a lightly padded insole that snuggles your feet to provide comfort with every step. A classic open-toed design, a non-slip rubber sole to confirm your every step safely and easy to move.

I personally am a big fan of the low stiletto pump – for a bride on the go, a shoe in this style will ensure that your tootsies don’t get completely annihilated after a night of dancing and partying!

These dreamy, romantic pumps would also be perfect to wear for date night after the wedding – a little nod to the most wonderful day that you and your beloved shared!

Emerald Open Toe Tie Back Heeled Sandal

Women's Open Toe Ankle Tie Back Green Sandals

Perfect for all seasons, this breezy sandal is lifted skyward by a wrapped block heel and secured with ankle tie back. The open toe design is easy to dress on and off.

I foresee green shoes worn at a wedding to be a Thing with a capital “t”. Whether you go bright lime or bold emerald, green wedding shoes are an adventurous choice that always pays off!

Greens invoke a sense of luxury, money, adventure, and fresh new growth. Perfect for a unique bride who’s looking to make a statement!

Betsey Johnson Rainbow Floral Pumps

Hot pink is definitely a statement. Make yours with these sassy pink pumps – guests will be thrilled to see an unexpected bright splash of color on your feet as you twirl the night away.

Metallic Mania

As the belle of the ball, you’re allowed to go nuts with a bit of sparkle. A great way to incorporate a blingy look into your wedding day is to think about your accessories – just make sure your sparkly hair accessories match your metallic shoes.

Whether it’s silver, brass, yellow gold, copper, or anything in between, you can’t go wrong pairing metallic-styled footwear with an ivory dress. They’ll add just enough shine to catch the eye!

And the great thing about this particular type of footwear is that it’s easy to pair them with casual outfits to add a bit of extra drama to your everyday look! Metallics are like neutrals… but with a little extra pizzaz.

Bronze Metallic Block Heels

Naturalizer Women's Joy Heeled Sandals

Heel measures approximately 3.5 inches". Leather or suede upper with a square toe. Adjustable buckle closure. Contour+ technology: an innovative cushioning system anatomically sculpted to meet every contour of your foot for a premium fit and all-day comfort experience.

Subtle metallic is a great choice if you want your overall wedding look to be classic. Made of 100% leather, these bronze beauties are definitely worth checking out.

They’ll enhance the warm tones of your ivory gown with just a little bit of understated shine!

Navy Peep Toe Pumps with Rhinestones

High heel pumps ivory wedding shoes for bride. D'orsay wedding heels for women with rhinestones.

Bridal bling is a thing, and this pair of shoes is no exception.

Rhinestones sparkle and dance on these deep navy peep-toe heels, so if you’ve got lots of sparkly accessories, blingy heels will tie in nicely!

Gold Pleated Wedding Sandals

Vimisaoi Chunky Block Heeled Sandals for Women

VIMISAOI always adheres to the theme of comfort and fashion, and designs a variety of shoes for women.

I love texture when it comes to footwear. These gold slip-ons would be perfect for a wedding that features lots of monochrome nude aesthetics, like boho rattan, straw, or even a beachy theme!

Any range of gold shades, from champagne to deep yellow gold, will look great with an ivory dress.

Metallic Mint Green Betsey Johnson Heels with Pearls

Betsey Johnson Women's Sb-Rider Heeled Sandal

Catch eyes in Betsey Johnson's SB-LEWIS featuring a pearl and crystal embellished ankle strap, a flared lucite heel and a square open toe design.

Va-va-voom! Betsey Johnson is a popular brand when it comes to unique and funky wedding shoes. These minty beauties are no exception- check out that smart and sexy lucite-flared heel!

With a comfortable zipper on the back of the heel, you won’t have to worry about the pearls and rhinestones falling off or slipping from an ankle strap-styled tie.

Does Rose Gold Go With Ivory?

Rose gold is a super popular shade of “metallic” when it comes to weddings- with those peachy, warm tones, it’s a flattering option to consider.

Rose gold does vary in tone; from super deep orangey pinks to the lightest shade of cooler pinks.

In our opinion, rose gold is very doable with ivory! It’s such a flattering color for a wedding day. If you’re choosing to commit to rose gold, just be sure to match your accessories if you can. And if you want to mix up your metallics, you can- it’s your day, and we won’t tell you otherwise!

Rose Gold Glitter Block Heels

A blushing bride should rightfully rock a few rosy tones in her wedding day look! Just take it to the next level with a dash of glitter… after all, it’s your wedding day. Go big or go home!

Rose Gold Glitter Sneaker

Keds Women's Core Ch Kate Spade Sneaker

If you’re looking to make a statement, look no further than these kate spade new york shoes. Satin laces and sublime sparkle grace our quintessential Champion, creating glitter shoes that give you all the impact of a high heel with all the comfort of your favorite sneakers.

Not into heels at all? Many daring brides opt for sneakers, and these Keds are a super popular choice. With an adorable satin ribbon to tie it all together, you may find that these rose gold glittery sneakers make multiple appearances throughout the year after the wedding!

Pretty in Pastel

Soft springtime pastels are a great addition to complement an ivory dress. If you’re not into the bold look, pastels provide enough color to catch the eye without completely taking the attention away from your gown.

Pastels are a vibe in their own right. They’re not just for springtime – if you want to kick those old, traditional fashion rules to the curb, think about finding a softer, pastel version of a color you’re interested in.

Guests in attendance will see your softer-shaded footwear and think, “Why didn’t I think of that for my wedding?”

Pastel Blue Braided Heeled Sandal

Dolce Vita Women's PAILY Heeled Sandal

A spring statement heel that we’re excited to wear season after season. PAILY’s unique braided detailing feels feminine and sophisticated. We’ll be pairing her with tailored trousers for a cool juxtaposition.

You know the iconic wedding phrase, “something blue?” Many brides implement this little bit of soft color in their footwear on their big day! I love the delicate braided straps, which could match a boho bride’s braided hairstyle.

Light Pink Block Heel

Women's High Chunky Heel Buckle Ankle Strap Sandals

This pair of go-anywhere sandals have a chunky high heel for a comfortable fit. A wrap-around strap at the ankle ensures that your heels will stay firmly in place if you feel like kicking them up.

These shoes’ soft, baby-pink hues make them a romantic pairing for an ivory dress. With a block heel, you’ll be sure to be comfortable dancing the night away!

Can You Wear Black Shoes With An Ivory Dress?

Dark shoes look great with ivory dresses: you can go dark navy, deep eggplant, and yes, even black! It’s considered a neutral color and will highlight those off-white shades really well.

Ivory becomes the visual focal point when paired with black footwear and accessories; it’s a timeless and easy combination for a bride who can’t decide!

Strappy Black Dress Pumps

Women's Black Suede Open Toe Cross Strap Sandals

Latex padded insole for added comfort. Crossed strap design with adjustable buckle closure Heel height: 3" (approx). Bouncing TPR outsole provides steady support when walking. Shine with every outfit for party, work, wedding ect.

These strappy 3″ heeled sandals would be perfectly paired with an ivory dress! They have great re-wear potential, too.

Black Pointed Toe Stiletto With Clear Straps

Clear Pointed Toe Heels Sandals With Transparent Strap

Classic open pointed toe design will let you shine in the crowd. Non-slip and wear-resisting rubber sole to confirm your every step safety and easy to move.

To be fair, this option kind of “toes” (sorry!) the line between a black and a nude shoe. Transparent straps are a great way to feature your fresh pedicure, and the simple black soles make these shoes a wonderful supporting actor for your ivory showstopper!

What NOT to Wear with an Ivory Wedding Dress

Ivory is a lovely color in its own right. With rich cream tones and a variety of ivory shades that range from off-white to even opaline, there’s one general (and we say this with a pinch of salt) rule of what not to pair with ivory… and that’s white.

White shoes, or shoes that appear whiter (and brighter) than your dress, will actually affect the appearance of ivory, making it look dirty. Yikes!

Stick with anything other than a bright white shoe, and you’ll be golden!

That being said, some rules are meant to be broken – so if you’re dead set on white shoes, we recommend trying them on with your gown so you can see (and assess) what it looks like before marching down the aisle.
