This is an authentic, awesome, handcrafted needlework of an Otomi family from Tenango de Doria. I traveled to the "Sierra Madre" to meet this family who lives there. The family that I am working with has mastered their technique, passed on for generations. Many "Tenangos" made by them have won contests nationwide and had been published in books (promoted by Mexican museums).
This embroidery style is also known in Mexico as "tenangos", precisely because of its origin.

Care of the product:
-The beauty of this garment is in the delicacy of the fabric. Use care when dressing - remove jewelry and other items that may catch.
-Hand or machine wash on a gentle wash cycle with cold water.
-Preferably use dish detergent or detergent for delicate clothes.
-Straighten and hang to dry.
-Preferably Iron after dry so the item will keep its texture.
-Can be dry-cleaned.
-Do not bleach.
