Cleveland History Center

One of the best money-saving tips is to check out places that are run by nonprofits. The Cleveland History Center is one of those venues.

The Western Reserve Historical Society runs this 7-acre campus in Cleveland. They want to help you customize your wedding day, all while staying within your budget!

The Cleveland History Center has more than 10 spaces to choose from. If you are wanting an outdoor wedding in Northeast Ohio, there’s the beautiful Hay McKinney Garden and the flowering Hanna Courtyard Garden.

Inside, you can rent the Crawford Rotunda which features classic motorcycles, cars, and aircraft. You can also rent the Euclid Beach Park Carousel for some fun wedding photos.

LaPlace Events

LaPlace Events is located in northeast Ohio in Akron. This indoor venue has rave reviews and is ready to turn your dream wedding into a reality. The overall vibe is luxurious, romantic, and fun!

LaPlace Events is an all-inclusive venue and has several affordable wedding packages that include a ceremony room, bridal suite, and food and alcohol.

The Greater Cleveland Aquarium

Looking for a fun, unique, and affordable venue in downtown Cleveland? Then definitely check out the Greater Cleveland Aquarium! With abundant marine life, the vibe is romantic and exotic, yet intimate.

You can walk down the aisle through a 175-foot underwater tube and then say your vows in front of the 230,000-gallon tank shark exhibit with some unexpected guests like sting rays and angel fish.

For an additional fee, you can have your cocktail hour in the space and even hire divers to hold up a special sign just for you! Afterward, you and your wedding guests can head over to the Windows on the River venue for a sophisticated reception.

Another micro wedding venue, The Hive: A Gathering Place is located in Northeast Ohio in Ravenna. You’ve got to see this super cute space to believe it and one of the best things? The price!

The Green Room or Parlor can be used as a bridal suite. The Side Yard is an outdoor space for your intimate ceremony. With picnic tables and benches, there is room to set up tables and chairs, as well as a tent.

Dinner receptions can even be held in the Meeting Room. The space is intimate, yet charming!

The Spicy Lamb Farm

If you are dreaming of an outdoor wedding set in a country farm setting, then please check out The Spicy Lamb Farm located in Peninsula, Ohio. The farm is family owned and sits on 12 lovely acres.

The farm raises sheep, ducks, bees, and organic fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Established in 1914, the vibe is laid back, charming, romantic, and peaceful.

The venue at The Spicy Lamb Farm is the Pavilion which seats up to 72 guests and tents can be added to a larger wedding party. With state-of-the-art AV equipment, the owners of the farm can provide recommendations of preferred chefs, local food sources, and caterers.

When you rent the venue, you get access to all of the furry farm animals and you can even get a sheepdog herding demonstration for an additional fee. How fun is that?

Pine Lake Trout Club

Located in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Pine Lake Trout Club is another fun and unique wedding venue. Pine Lake Trout Club sits on over 80 acres of peaceful wooded land. This private fishing club has a cozy banquet room and 4 quaint cabins.

The Banquet Room was remodeled in 2016 and is 2,740 square feet. You can have an outdoor ceremony anywhere on the property and then head to the Banquet Room for a homestyle dinner and reception.

With in-house catering as an option and a full-time event coordinator, this beautiful, rustic setting may be the venue for you.

If you are looking for a more traditional and affordable venue, Trinity Great Hall might be the spot for you. Located in Kent, Ohio, Trinity Great Hall is a part of the Trinity Lutheran Church. With stained glass windows and an organ, you can have a classic wedding ceremony in the church.

Trinity Great Hall has 2 room options for your reception. The Gathering Room is perfect for an intimate micro wedding and sits up to 35 seated guests. The Great Hall is the larger space and can seat up to 157 guests sitting and 300 guests standing.

Are you and your beloved fans of the medieval period? If so, the beautiful venue at The Great Lakes Medieval Faire can provide a fairy tale wedding. Located in Rock Creek, Ohio, the venue is open to the public, but also offers “Timeless Weddings” at an affordable price.

Richard Manor is the space where all the magic happens. You can say your I-do’s in the gorgeous Wedding Garden and then head over to the White Pine Lodge or Cinderella Chateau for your reception.

From June to September, outdoor ceremonies can be held on the lower patio and receptions on the upper patio. The farm-to-table restaurant known as Crosswinds Grille is another option for your reception.
